The 2026 Freedom Farm Festival is a one-day community gathering held at Uhuru’s Teaching Farms, inspired by the legacy of Fannie Lou Hamer and her vision of food sovereignty, self-determination, and community care.
Bringing together farmers, food lovers, and plant enthusiasts, this festival celebrates the connection between land, culture, and community. This fundraising event supports the students and their families while contributing to the continued growth and future of UASC through the collaborative efforts of GRAINN School and Magnolia The Nature Club.

Join us for a fun and interactive experience where kids discover the world of herbs and tea through hands-on exploration! Children will smell, taste, and blend their own herbal tea creations while learning about kid-friendly herbs and how to brew a simple cup of tea. Each child will create a custom tea blend to take home and enjoy a cozy tea time together at the end of the workshop.

A hands-on nature crafting experience where children explore creativity using natural materials found in the woodland, such as twigs, leaves, acorns, bark, and pinecones.
Children begin with a short nature gathering walk, learning to observe textures, shapes, and natural patterns in their surroundings. These materials are then used to create simple, meaningful woodland-inspired art pieces.
